Starting from the Market Square and built in 1920s, Bottcherstrasse is the 110-metre lane that houses shops and restaurants, museums, workshops and carillon.

The most amazing attraction on Bottcherstrasse is the carillon that consists of 30 Meissen porcelain bells. You can listen to their music hourly from noon to 6 p.m., from 1 Jan to 30 Apr - at noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. (cancelled if temperature drops under zero). The carillon music is accomponied by revolving tower show of ten carved wooden panels depicting various Atlantic crossings.

You can also visit Himmelssaal or 'sky room' - an art deco hall from around 1930 with a domed ceiling of blue and white glass tiles (located in Bremen Hilton).
