Outdoor Sculpture Gallery Loggia dei Lanzi in Florence
Loggia dei Lanzi also known as Loggia della Signorina was built between 1376 and 1382 and is located just next to Piazza della Signorina. It consists of wide arches open to the street and exhibits sculpture gallery of antique and Renaissance art. The most famous is the bronze statue of Perseus by Benvenuto Cellini.
Pay attention also to trefoils with allegorical figures of the four cardinal virtues - Fortitude, Temperance, Justice and Prudence by Agnolo Gaddi, located on the facade of the Loggia, below the parapet.
